 Eta plus - The blue band of solar energy
Eta plus is the heart of solar collectors. The blue band of solar energy effectively converts solar energy into heat. The high temperature on the surface of the band is used to heat water and is available to the user, e.g. in the form of warm water for their shower. Eta plus, the selective absorber band made by BlueTec is manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. The plasma coating process used by BlueTec produces neither harmful exhaust gases nor contaminated wastewater. The production is free of emissions. Only electric power is needed: approx. 1 kWh per m² of surface. However, within 20 years, the same surface will generate more than 10,000 kWh of solar energy and therefore has a remarkable energy balance. Eta plus is delivered in the form of an uncoated copper or aluminum band, is then coated by BlueTec and shipped to customers worldwide. BlueTec's forecast shows a production of more than 1 million m² of Eta plus in two years. |
